My name is Cathy Melando. I am a wedding officiant servicing the New Jersey and Staten Island, New York areas (registered to officiate in NY**). I will help you create a unique ceremony that you will be proud to share with your family and friends.  Whether your gathering is with 4 people or 400, your ceremony can be customized to share YOUR story, and be a personalized expression of the love you have for each other. 

I am an ordained, non-denominational minister specializing in unique traditional & contemporary (religious or civil) ceremonies for straight, gay, and lesbian couples; and vow renewals. Remember, it’s YOUR special day .. things should be YOUR way!  Priced to fit all budgets.

I live in Hudson County NJ with my husband Dan. We’ve been married since 1991.. This is the second marriage for both of us, so I know love can work ~ I’m living proof of it! Between the two of us, we have three grown sons; two are happily married, one with two young sons of his own. We love being  grandparents and spend as much time with our grandsons as we can! I am a pediatric nurse, currently working in the pre-school setting.  I have been an ordained minister, actively officiating weddings since 2010 … I love being an officiant. It’s such an honor and joy to be part of a couples “love story” .. I believe in love, and that there really CAN be a  “happily ever after!

**I am not currently traveling to NYC to officiate, but I am officiating on Staten Island.
